Retirement Planning Specialist, Qualified Plan Specialist and Financial Consultant
I have been a Financial Planner with Equitable Advisors in Dallas, Texas, since 1994. I started my financial and insurance career in 1982 when I became a CPA for Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young). That job led me into Financial Services and I joined Shearson Lehman as a stockbroker in 1988. As a Financial Planner with Equitable, I offer a variety of services to his clients including comprehensive financial advice, estate planning and insurance expertise. I also specialize in life, health, and disability income, as well as long-term care insurance. In the small business market, I am a specialist in retirement plans.
Education & Accreditation
I attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with BS in Accounting in 1982. I also completed the Retirement Plan Specialist program at Wharton. I am a Qualified Plan Specialist, enabling me to assist small businesses to set up and manage retirement plans. I successfully passed the rigorous exams to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). I have my life and health insurance licenses as well as the following registrations: Series 6, Series 7 and Series 65.
I am happily married to my wife, Lou Ann. We have two children living at home. In my spare time, I enjoy golf, tennis, snow skiing, traveling and watching sporting events. I also love hunting, fishing and going to the theatre. I am an active member of Munger Place Church and the Park Cities Rotary Club.
